Download Monitor & Manager Plugin
Simple Download Monitor & Manager for WordPress

Hello!
I recently made my site secure which added the “s” to the http url. Many of my old downloads don’t have the s in them. They appear to still download fine but is this something I need to go in and update on each download? I have almost 300 so it would be quite tedious but I’m wondering if it matters or not.
Here is a page with the old http format. When I hover over the green DOWNLOAD button it does show the s in the url despite it not being there in the actual upload area url.

Thanks!

The download should work fine. You can use our following HTTPS/SSL plugin to force all of your URLs to redirect to the “HTTPS” version:
Over time, you can edit your download items and add the “s” in there slowly (just to tidy things up).
You can also do this in bulk by updating it in your WordPress database table. You can do this from PHPMyAdmin of your control panel. There are plugins out there that will let you search and replace in bulk also.
Appreciate that info. I’ll work on that!
