WordPress Download Monitor Plugin › Forums › Download Monitor Plugin Forum › S3 error “The specified key does not exist.”
I just purchased and installed the S3 add-on. I was able to download the S3 file that I wanted through AWS CLI using the access key, but when I attempt the download using your plugin, I’m getting an error back from AWS stating that the “key” I am trying to access doesn’t exist. I pulled the file’s URL from the bucket management page as stated in the instructions for the add-on.
Please help!
That error indicates that the AWS keys are missing or incorrect. Did you enter the correct API keys into the addon’s settings as shown in step 1 of the folloiwng page?
Yes, that is why I mentioned that I tested the access keys using AWS CLI tools on Linux to be sure it wasn’t an authentication issue. When I copy/paste the URL of the file into a browser window exactly as I enter it on the download page, I get a different error stating access denied.
