Tagged: Translations
Dear all,
I started using your SDM and it seems to work fine so far. It took a while to figure out how to remove the (dutch equivalents of) “Protected:” and “Private:” but that I managed. Now there is the sentence “Enter Password to Download:” that I’d rather not have at all but if really needed at least translated. It appears not to be a translatable sentence, in other words it is hard coded. Am I correct in this?
Thanks in advance for the help,
Ger
The “Enter Password to Download:” string is definitely translatable.
The string is on line number 978 of the POT file (simple-download-monitor.pot)
You are right, thanks.
But it was a bit confusing to find that there is a dutch translation file but it is not at all complete. Nevertheless it shows 100% completion, because all strings that were not translated are not visible. Playing around with POEdit – and at the same time learning how to use it – I found how to add missing translations.
If you are interested I could – complete it for general use.
Ger
Yes, feel free to complete the translation in your language. You can also send us the updated language file and we will include it in the plugin.
Hello,
please tell me how did you translate this text?
how did you succeed in replacing it?
thank you,
Hi thesys
there are multiple web pages that help you in translating wordpress text strings using POEDIT, just find the one that pleases you. After having done the text replacement I did not jot down what and where.
