Unable to download large file

Hi,

I have a very large download (443 MB).

Every time I try to download this file I get an ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE error.

I have verified that paths and file names are correct (e.g. I’ve replaced the large file with a smaller one of the same name and it works) however the download continually fails.

Is there a max filesize and or perhaps something in WordPress that might be preventing this?

It usually means that the server’s PHP RAM is needs to be increased to handle that large file download. For situations like this, it’s better to use solutions like the following:

Dropbox Addon for the Simple Download Monitor

Are you getting the error at the start of the download or after the download starts? Also, it is worth giving it a try after clearing the browser cache for this.

I have actually purchased the Dropbox addon but trying to get my site working first with the simple case – but if Dropbox can handle this more efficiently I will give that a go… Thanks!
