File upload not working (suddenly!) due to security reasons

Hi! I’ve been using this plugin for more than 3 years now, and it always has worked fine, uploading an excel file, once a week.
Now, out of the blue, uploading the same type of file (excel) does not work and the message says that it cannot upload this type of file for ‘security reasons’.

What can I do?

By default, wordpress uploader doesn’t allow you to upload many different file types for security reasons.

Let me know if the following addon helps you to upload the excel file to your wp site:
